The situations and experiences lived by Patricia in “Agua de Dios” (Colombia) impacted and shaped the human being that she has become. Through a timeline she intertwines her personal life history with what she knows to this day about the history of her hometown, the history of leprosy and the management of it throughout the world. .
The Leprosy Awareness book is dedicated to millions of people who, like her, are descendants of people affected by the disease of leprosy around the world. Likewise, this book is dedicated to the loving and courageous spirit of all human beings who have experienced pain, suffering, forced isolation, family separation, and extreme poverty due to their illness.
